Mastercard Secure Card on File – better conversion and lower costs
Mastercard has launched Secure Card on File (SCOF) – a service that improves both conversion rates and cost efficiency for stored card payments.
With SCOF, the card number is replaced by a network token, issued directly by Mastercard.
This means higher approval rates, smoother customer experiences, and lower scheme fees 💡
What is Mastercard Secure Card on File?
SCOF is Mastercard’s network tokenisation service for stored cards (card-on-file).
When a customer saves their card, Mastercard issues a secure token that replaces the card number.
- Works only with your merchant ID
- Automatically updates when a card is replaced
- No need for customers to re-enter their details
The result? A smoother checkout and higher conversion
In short
- Mastercard SCOF helps you boost conversion and reduce costs
- Dintero manages everything automatically – no integration changes
- Together with Visa Token Service, you’re fully covered for all major card networks
