How to install the Dintero Checkout for WooCommerce plugin

Note: If you are currently using the old Dintero plugin and need to migrate, please view the migration instructions.
Estimated time: 5 to 10 minutes

Step 1 - Install the plugin

  1. In WordPress, go to Plugins, then click Add new
  2. Click the search bar and type Dintero
  3. On the plugin shown in the picture below click Install Now and Activate once it's been installed after a few seconds

Step 2 - Connect your Dintero account to WooCommerce

  • In WordPress, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments
  • Click Enable on the new Dintero plugin
  • Click Manage on the new Dintero plugin
  • Open Dintero Backoffice in a separate browser tab, and create your API keys.
(If you don't yet have a Dintero account, create one here). Then paste your API keys into their respective fields in the Dintero plugin in WooCommerce, as shown below.

Step 3 - Set the desired configuration

Dintero Checkout can be presented in a few different ways to give you the most optimal checkout flow for your webshop. You select the checkout flow in the Dintero plugin settings, right below the API keys you just entered.
We recommend using the Checkout Express Pop-out configuration, but you may also want to try some of the other configurations depending on your needs. See how each configuration looks.
If you choose any of the embedded options in the checkout, you may want to look at the different layout options. How this looks might very between the different WooCommerce themes, so we recommend trying a few options to see what looks best to you.

    Step 4 - Final touches

You just hava a few more settings to set in order to make sure everything will work perfectly.
    1. In Wordpress, go to WooCommerceSettingsGeneralNumber of decimals and set value to 2.
    2. Turn off tax rounding by going to WooCommerceSettingsTaxRounding and make sure Round tax at subtotal level, instead of rounding per line is turned off.
If you dont use a firewall, skip the next step.
    1. If you know you've set a firewall to protect your website, we need to allow Dintero Checkout to be accepted by your site by opening for traffic from Dintero. This is done by letting through the following IP addresses:
      • 34.241.230.119
      • 34.242.13.162
For detailed instructions on how to open firewalls, read our documentation.

    Congratulations! 🎉
